Types of Transformers

Control Transformers:
  • Ratings: 50VA to 7.5kVA
  • Design: Maximises power output while minimising weight and size
  • Features: Single or three-phase supply, varnish vacuum impregnation, earth screen between windings, diverse termination options, customisable for various specifications including high-temperature operation and immersion in oil.
Power Transformers:
  • Ratings: 7.5kVA to 500kVA
  • Design: Customisable to meet mechanical, thermal, and electrical requirements
  • Features: Single or three-phase, double or auto-wound, insulated with paper or synthetic varnish, vacuum impregnated in class "H" varnish, diverse termination options, optional enclosures with detachable plates, and various extras like meters and circuit breakers.
